Relay from Home,
The Hope Ceremony is a very special part of Relay. If you would like to light a candle in memory for someone you’ve lost to cancer or in hope for cancer survivors, there are three ways you can do so;
1. Get creative and use your own materials from home by following our creative video by Linda (watch video here).
2. Send a message for your Hope Bag to firstname.lastname@example.org by COB 1 May and the committee will have this written on a Hope Bag and a candle lit on your behalf. This will be filmed as a part of our Hope Ceremony segment and shown in our Relay From Home.
3. Have a Hope bag (no candle) delivered to you by filling out this form and making a $5 donation to Candle Bag Team through the website. These orders MUST be made by 8 May to be delivered in time.
The raffle draw has been moved to be drawn on Wednesday 1 July, Castle Towers at 12:30pm. We have the same great prizes and would really appreciate any ticket sales for this year.
Please email Lynne on email@example.com to get books or to drop off your books of tickets (sold or not sold) and she will give you the location for drop off. These must be dropped by COB Wednesday 24 June to be in the draw to win.
Make a bid for an amazing prize – includes a 9 course degustation dinner for 2 with matching wines at the award winning Tetsuya’s Restaurant as well as a night at the Grand Hyatt Darling Harbour and breakfast for 2.
The prize is valid until May 2021 and valued at over $1000. Send your bids in to firstname.lastname@example.org any time now up until 4.45pm on Saturday 16 May.
The winner will be announced right before the Hope Ceremony.
We’re encouraging teams to still dress up, shave their hair, camp in the backyard, setup a picnic… do something fun from their homes! We’d love for you to send any photos or videos of this in the lead up to and on the day to email@example.com

Why We Relay
Relay For Life is a community fundraising challenge. We raise money in the lead up to the overnight event, and take turns walking around the track to signify that cancer never rests, so neither do we.
All funds raised go towards Australia’s leading cancer charity, Cancer Council. Underpinned by research, 61,000 Australian lives have been saved by improvements in cancer prevention, screening and treatment over the past 20 years.
But with an estimated 134,000 new cases of cancer expected to be diagnosed in Australia this year, we need every Australian to rally behind us and help continue this vital work.
Please support our event by selecting one of the options below.
