Each Relay begins with a lap of honour, where Survivor and Carers take to the track exclusively to walk a lap together, while we cheer them on!

At dusk, we honour and remember those in the community we've lost by writing a message for them on an illuminated candle bag.

At Relay, we host a range of activities just for Survivors and Carers, so you can connect with others who have shared similar experiences and find support within your community.

Why We Relay
Relay For Life is a community fundraising challenge. We raise money in the lead up to the overnight event, and take turns walking around the track to signify that cancer never rests, so neither do we.
All funds raised go towards Australia’s leading cancer charity, Cancer Council. Underpinned by research, 61,000 Australian lives have been saved by improvements in cancer prevention, screening and treatment over the past 20 years.
But with an estimated 134,000 new cases of cancer expected to be diagnosed in Australia this year, we need every Australian to rally behind us and help continue this vital work.
